Green Fluent
Being carbon neutral is more for us than offsetting. We aim to reduce our carbon use in everything we do before we have to offset the rest (which we do annually). So we:
- have a commitment not to drive to meetings and we use public transport whenever we can
- have a scheme whereby we buy a bicycle for any staff member who wants to cycle to work
- have an account with Green Tomato Cars (who only drive Toyota Prius cars) for those times when we do need to use a cab
- try to source carbon neutral companies to work with and buy from
- use ecotricity in the office and have a comprehensive recycling system
- only ever use recycled paper and materials
We were profiled by London21 as a trailblazing SME for implementing as many carbon reducing ideas that we heard of or could think of. And it was so easy – and saves us money too!
