Our corporate responsibility
At Fluent we are great believers in Gandhi’s words of wisdom, ‘You must be the change you want to see in the world’.
There are many aspects of corporate responsibility and we try to model them so that we can continually learn by doing, working through the challenges and pitfalls and maximising on the opportunities.
We are carbon neutral for a start, and that doesn’t mean we just calculate and offset – we work hard to keep challenging ourselves to do more. We also want to do our own bit as individuals, and so our volunteering policy means that we all take 6 days off a year to volunteer for a charity of our choice.
From a corporate perspective, we put our energies into supporting a community project or social enterprise to get off the ground – at the moment this is Oxford City Farm.
‘Being the change’ inspires us, teaches us new skills and creates great energy in the company. We hope it also encourages our clients to use us more, as by working with us they are also helping to change the world!
